Landlord Accreditation Scotland (LAS), is holding an event in Kirkwall on Thursday 5 May 2016 to bring local landlords and agents up to date with what is happening in the private rented sector in Scotland and introduce the national landlord accreditation scheme.

There continues to be major changes to legislation in the private rented sector and it can be difficult for both landlords and agents to keep up with how this affects the day to day process of letting property in Scotland.

Attending this event will provide you with information on the following topics:

  • Private sector update
  • Health and safety requirements
  • Repairs and maintenance obligations
  • Tenancy agreements and notices
  • Accreditation

The aim of the event is to provide you with the facts you need to know to ensure compliance with current legislation and to be prepared for future changes.

The charge for the event has been kept to an extremely affordable price to encourage as many local landlords and agents to attend and includes a sandwich lunch and refreshments.
