The Landlord Accreditation Scotland information event will be held in Kirkwall on Thursday 25 January 2018 to bring local landlords and letting agents up to date with what is happening in the private rented sector in Scotland.

From 1st December 2017 there will be a new tenancy regime in the private rented sector in Scotland.  The Letting Agent Code of Practice comes into force on the same date and the register of Scottish letting agents opens on 31st January 2018 so there continues to be major changes to legislation.

Attending this event will provide you with updates on the following topics:

  • Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016
  • The Model Tenancy Agreement
  • Housing and Property Chamber – The First-tier tribunal
  • Letting Agent Registration

The aim of the event is to provide you with the facts you need to know to ensure compliance with current legislation and to be prepared for future changes.

The charge for the event has been once again been kept to an extremely affordable price and is less than the cost of attending a Core Standard Training Session, to encourage as many local landlords and agents to attend.

Tea and coffee will be available on arrival and a sandwich lunch will be provided.
