This course is designed to give practical advice and guidance to landlords and letting agency staff in putting together a clear and concise inventory document, that will be detailed enough to be of real use at the end of a tenancy, should a dispute arise with a tenant regarding return of a deposit. It is also essential in aiding all landlords of private rented accommodation to comply with the Repairing Standard 2007.
In the minority of cases that do go on to require adjudication an inventory is essential evidence for a landlord. With this in mind, the course includes a presentation from an adjudicator with the Letting Protection Service Scotland, detailing the process of disputes through the eyes of the adjudicator.
You may have produced an inventory some time ago and are looking to ensure that your next document is as good as it can be, or have never produced an inventory before but now feel that you would be better protected by doing so. Either way, this course will be relevant.
