Landlord Accreditation Scotland is delighted to be working in partnership with SafeDeposits Scotland once again to deliver the Scottish Tenancy Deposit Academy for letting agents.

The training provided contains a wealth of information for those dealing with the intricacies of managing tenancy deposits.

Presented by the Head of SafeDeposits Scotland, Mike Smith, and LAS Director, Elspeth Boyle, this session, which will include the opportunity to ask questions, will look specifically at:

  • Understanding the purpose of routine visits/property inspections from landlord and tenant perspectives
  • Frequency guidance in performing routine visits/property inspections
  • Advantages of well performed routine visits/property inspections
  • Practical guidance on creating visit/inspection reports
  • Practical guidance on performing check-outs and creating check-out reports
  • Using reports to evidence deposit deduction claims at the end of the tenancy.

As well as providing practical insights and advice, the session provides one hour of CPD.

Is a webinar for me?

LAS webinars have been created to allow us to bring you the information we would have providing when we were with you face to face.

We have done our best to replicate the experience you had when you were in the room with us, so that we can continue to provide you with the information you need to continue to manage your rental properties well and the updates you need during COVID-19.

Can I still ask questions in the same way as I could at the face to face courses?

Yes, you can. You will not be on camera when you do this. There is the facility to ask questions all the way through the webinar and we will answer as many of these as we can on the day

Will I be on camera during the webinar?

No. We won’t be able to see you and neither will anyone else attending the webinar
