This webinar covers the obligations of landlords and letting agents under the The Rent Arrears Pre-Action Requirements (Coronavirus) (Scotland) Regulations 2020 which came into force on 30 September 2020. These lay out the pre-action requirements for landlords, and agents working on their behalf, prior to seeking repossession of a property for rent arrears that have occurred during the duration of the Coronavirus Scotland Acts.
The webinar is being delivered by Jim Bauld, Partner with TC Young Solicitors who has specialised in Scottish tenancy law since 1994 and is recognised by the Law Society of Scotland as an Accredited Specialist in Housing and Residential Tenancy Law.
Topics covered in this webinar
- Steps that require to be taken to comply with the new pre-action requirements to satisfy the First-tier Tribunal that eviction is reasonable in a rent arrears case.
- Notice periods that apply to both (short) assured and private residential tenancies.
Participants can ask questions throughout the webinar and as many questions as possible will be answered at the end of the session

LAS webinars have been created to allow us to bring you the information we would have providing when we were with you face to face.
We have done our best to replicate the experience you had when you were in the room with us, so that we can continue to provide you with the information you need to continue to manage your rental properties well and the updates you need during COVID-19.
Can I still ask questions in the same way as I could at the face to face courses?
Yes, you can. You will not be on camera when you do this. There is the facility to ask questions all the way through the webinar and we will answer as many of these as we can on the day
No. We won’t be able to see you and neither will anyone else attending the webinar
Still not sure a webinar is for you?
Please call the LAS team and we can chat to you about webinar and answer any questions you have.
