2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
This webinar helps landlords put plans in place to manage the situation when it becomes apparent that the tenant may not pay their rent. The Rent Arrears Pre-Action Requirements (Coronavirus) (Scotland) Regulations 2020 came into force on 30 September 2020, which means landlords and letting agents on landlords’ behalf are required to undertake specific actions prior to serving notice on the ground of rent arrears. This webinar guides you through those required actions, focusing on early intervention and best practice in communication.
Topics covered in this webinar:
- Early intervention – understand the likely causes of rent arrears
- Good communication – important in encouraging the repayment of arrears
- Pre-actions requirements
- Timeframe for effective arrears management
Participants can ask questions throughout the webinar and as many questions as possible will be answered in a Q&A session.

Webinar FAQs
LAS webinars have been created to allow us to bring you the information we would have providing when we were with you face to face.
We have done our best to replicate the experience you had when you were in the room with us, so that we can continue to provide you with the information you need to continue to manage your rental properties well and the updates you need during COVID-19.
Can I still ask questions in the same way as I could at the face to face courses?
Yes, you can. You will not be on camera when you do this. There is the facility to ask questions all the way through the webinar and we will answer as many of these as we can on the day
No. We won’t be able to see you and neither will anyone else attending the webinar
Still not sure a webinar is for you?
Please call the LAS team and we can chat to you about webinar and answer any questions you have.
