LAS Webinar: Notice grounds and evidence requirements for ending Private Residential Tenancies (PRT)
Webinar
- August 24, 2022
10:00 am - 11:00 am
Landlords will on occasion need to bring a tenancy to an end which has to be done using one of the 18 grounds for eviction with the requirement for evidence to support that ground being provided at the notice stage.
All eviction grounds are now discretionary meaning that the First-tier Tribunal (Housing and Property Chamber) can exercise discretion and take account of all circumstances of an individual case when deciding whether to grant an eviction. This webinar will explain why it is essential that landlords provide all the required information at the notice stage and follow all the rules, so that if the tenant disputes the notice or doesn’t leave at the end of the notice period, they are in a position to raise a possession action.
This webinar will cover:
- Notices grounds for the PRT
- What evidence is required for the most used eviction grounds
- The Notice to Leave and timescales for service
- What happens if a tenant disputes the notice.
Participants can ask questions throughout the webinar and as many questions as possible will be answered in a Q&A session at the end.

Webinar FAQs
LAS webinars have been created to allow us to bring you the information we would have providing when we were with you face to face.
We have done our best to replicate the experience you had when you were in the room with us, so that we can continue to provide you with the information you need to continue to manage your rental properties well and the updates you need during COVID-19.
Can I still ask questions in the same way as I could at the face to face courses?
Yes, you can. You will not be on camera when you do this. There is the facility to ask questions all the way through the webinar and we will answer as many of these as we can on the day
No. We won’t be able to see you and neither will anyone else attending the webinar
Still not sure a webinar is for you?
Please call the LAS team and we can chat to you about webinar and answer any questions you have.
