A landlord who lets flatted property, whilst solely responsible for the repairs and maintenance of that property, also takes on joint responsibility for the repairs and maintenance of the common parts of the building.
This course has been designed to provide landlords with a guide to the regulations involved in joint repairing responsibilities that come with the ownership of property with communal obligations.
Landlords should have attended the Core Standard Level 1 course, Property Condition and Property Management, prior to attending this course.

Registering for a course
Registering for a course is simple. Select the number of delegate places required from the list and click ‘register’ now. Immediate payment is required to secure a place on the course.
If you cannot select the number of delegate places you require, the course may be full. Please contact the LAS office on 0131 553 2211. Courses run on a demand basis and are subject to cancellation if minimum numbers are not met. This rarely occurs but in this case LAS will contact you by email / telephone as soon as possible using the contact details you have provided.

*Scottish Association of Landlords (SAL), Council of Letting Agents (CLA), and Scottish Land and Estates (SLE) members can attend Core Standard training free of charge (for a maximum of 2 delegates) as a benefit of membership of these partner associations. Please quote your membership number to ensure that you are not charged for your place. It is essential, however, that as a member of SAL, CLA or SLE that you book to attend the course. We cannot guarantee an available place if the appropriate booking has not been received.
